- A student should choose 12 or 13 Units for Year 11 Preliminary HSC. If they choose 12 units, they must also circle a Study Period. •Non UAI students should choose subjects primarily above the dotted line. UAI students may choose above or below the dotted line provided UAI requirements are met.
- Students must choose a subject from Line 1 at St Joseph’s College. If they wish to do Studies of Religion II, they should circle this subject on both Line 1 and Line 7a as 1 unit is taught on each of these lines to give a total of 2 units.
- All students must choose an English course on Line 2.
- Students may choose a course not taught at St Joseph’s College (e.g., TAFE, CEO online course, Distance Education course) on any of Lines 3 to 7 instead of a subject taught at the College. They many only choose one course taught by an external provider.
- Subjects marked with an asterisk are Category B courses for UAI calculations. (One cannot count 2 Category B subjects for UAI calculations). Industrial Technology may be upgraded to Category A for the 2010 HSC.
